01

Estimates and authorisation

An estimate is based on the information available before work begins and may change if further faults, damage or parts requirements are identified. We will explain any material change and obtain your approval before carrying out additional work that increases the agreed price. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a booking; a booking is confirmed when we accept it with you.

02

Deposits and parts

A $100 booking deposit may be required to secure a confirmed appointment. For an accepted estimate valued over $600, a deposit of 50% of the estimated total is required instead. Upfront payment may also be required for parts that must be ordered. If the cost of special-order or non-returnable parts exceeds the standard deposit, we may require payment of the full parts cost instead. The required amount will always be disclosed and agreed with you in writing before payment. Deposits are credited to the final invoice.

03

Cancellations and rescheduling

At least 2 business days’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule without a late-cancellation charge. With sufficient notice, your deposit can be refunded or transferred once to a new agreed booking, less any disclosed and unrecoverable special-order parts costs. If less than 2 business days’ notice is given, a $100 late-cancellation charge may apply. For a same-business-day cancellation, no-show, or failure to provide safe access to the vehicle at the agreed time, we may retain the deposit to cover reserved labour time, travel, parts and other reasonable losses caused by the cancellation. We will retain only an amount that reasonably reflects those actual costs and losses and will refund any remaining balance. Repeated rescheduling may be treated as a cancellation. No charge applies where cancellation is due to our breach of the agreement or where the Australian Consumer Law gives you a right to cancel. If we cancel and cannot reasonably reschedule, your deposit will be refunded.

04

Parts and timing

Parts availability, supplier delays, weather, access and newly identified faults may affect the timing of a job. Completion dates are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise. Replacement parts may carry a manufacturer or supplier warranty in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

05

Business use, downtime and indirect loss

If a vehicle is used for work or business, you are responsible for arranging reasonable alternative transport and business-continuity plans while it is unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profit, income, contracts, production, business opportunity or business interruption arising from vehicle downtime, parts or supplier delays, weather, third-party acts, pre-existing faults, or additional faults that could not reasonably have been identified earlier. This exclusion does not apply to loss caused by our failure to exercise due care and skill, fraud or wilful misconduct, personal injury or property damage caused by us, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

06

Customer responsibilities

You must provide accurate vehicle and fault information, disclose relevant modifications or previous work, ensure we have permission to work on the vehicle, and provide safe and reasonable access to the vehicle, including the keys where required. Please remove valuable personal items and ensure children and animals remain safely away from the work area.

07

Safe working conditions

We may pause, relocate, reschedule or refuse work where the vehicle, ground, traffic, weather, lighting, animals, people or surrounding conditions create an unreasonable safety risk. We will explain the concern and, where practical, offer another arrangement. Any charge will be limited to work completed and reasonable costs already incurred.

08

Pre-existing and hidden faults

We are not responsible for faults, damage, wear or unsafe conditions that existed before our work or could not reasonably have been identified from the authorised inspection. If we identify another issue, we will tell you and seek approval before carrying out additional repairs.

09

Payment

Unless another arrangement is agreed in writing, the remaining balance is due when the authorised work is completed. We may accept the payment methods shown on the invoice or agreed with you. Please do not send card details by SMS or email. A receipt or paid invoice will be provided.

10

Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that services will be provided with due care and skill and be fit for any agreed purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11

Privacy and contact

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Questions about these terms, an estimate or a payment can be sent to letmefixitauto@gmail.com or discussed by calling or texting 0455 463 789.
